Here’s a clear analogy: science is like being a detective, except the “suspect” is nature. A detective doesn’t solve a case by having a strong opinion. They collect clues, compare stories, and see what matches the evidence. In science, the “clues” are measurements and observations, things other people can also check.

The really powerful part is this: science is designed to catch you when you’re wrong. Our brains are brilliant, but they’re also easily fooled. We see patterns that aren’t there. We remember the hits and forget the misses. Science fights back by asking, “How do we know?” and “Would someone else get the same result?” That’s why experiments are repeated, why results are checked by other scientists, and why good ideas survive because reality keeps agreeing with them.
