Another piece of equipment that might be useful to take when camping or hiking is the Sawyer Extractor Pump Kit. The kit contains a little vacuum pump that, when applied to a bite from snakes, bees, wasps or other biting insects, can quickly draw out the venom. It has a good suction and is easy to use. The efficiency of the extraction is dependant on where the bite is located and how effectively the pump can be attached to the bite.
